Studio Makeover

Let's flash back... all the way to April 3, 2014.  What's so special about April 3, 2014?  Well, it's the day my dreams became a reality; it's the day I picked up the the keys to my new commercial studio space and the construction begun!

Before you start doing the math, no, I haven't been doing construction for 19 months!  That would be INSANE- lol.  The construction phase only took about three months.  Sadly, my studio space became a storage room for the business I share the unit with (The Village Space - which is an awesome rental space in Maple Ridge, see the link at the end of this post)!  I don't have a photo to document this "storage phase"... it was too painful... no one wants to relive that phase!

However, over the past couple months, we've been going through all the storage "stuff" and I'm happy to say, I finally got my super-exciting new studio space back!!  HURRAY!!  I decided at this point it would make the most sense to completely overhaul the space, to make it more cozy, welcoming and functional, before re-opening.  So, I've come up with and created new storage solutions, hung most of the my backdrops on the wall, added a beautiful seating area and even hung a new window display!

I'm so excited and couldn't wait to share it with you all!  So, without further ado, here it is (well, a couple sneak peek shots anyway)...

Next up:  I'll be releasing a new "what to expect at your newborn session" video, as well as some informative blogs about the early days after Baby's arrival, so watch for those coming soon.

I'd love to hear your thoughts or comments about this, or any other post.  Shoot me an email anytime :)

PS:  If you, or someone you know, are expecting in the New Year, now's the time to start looking into maternity and/or newborn photos.  I'm booking newborns for early 2016, with limited spaces available.  Email (hello@rlphotography.ca) or call (604-812-4456) if you'd like to chat about booking your own session :)

PPS:  If you haven't yet heard of The Village Space, you really need to!!  The space is AH-mazing and perfect for both business and personal events.  Click on their logo for more information :)
